WHAT IS PSORIASIS?

Psoriasis causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin. Psoriasis is characterized by thick silvery scales and itchy dry red plaques.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

  • Psoriasis is a persistent, long-lasting (chronic) disease. Psoriasis can alternate between improvement with remission and exacerbation.

  • For some people, psoriasis is just a nuisance. For others, it is disabling, especially when associated with arthritis. There's no cure, but psoriasis treatments may offer significant relief.
